An association of Bengali and Indian families in Central New Jersey and surrounding areas. We are active in organizing Bengali and Indian social and cultural events, picnics and get together. The events involve music, dance, and other socio-religious events where the youths actively participate. Through these activities, we try to blend Indian and western cultures.
We were established in 2007 and our first event was the Saraswati Puja 2008 with 45 families, held at the Adamsville School in Bridgewater, NJ. Since then we have grown to be a bigger presence in Central NJ with more and more families joining us each year. Last year we had over 175 families who came to the Saraswati Puja.
Each year SBA also organizes Poila Baisakh, Summer picnic and a Diwali party. There are also plans for year-round activities to be introduced this year.
